The cloaking device was designed to camouflage Allied Aircraft from enemy radar. It was tested in the early 1940s on behalf of the NSF but resulted in two lost pilots and the inventor being discredited. Thanks to a recent discovey of original notes the project was once again activated. Who better to test the device than the highly decorated General Kinkade, a top Air Force pilot of nearly thirty-five years and a veteran of wars in Vietnam and the Middle East? The device would be operational on a modified P-38M for a flight from Chicagos Midway Airport to Scott Air Force Base. How could this retired General, a Gable lookalike who brought soldiers to attention and made women weak in the knees, ever predict that this flight would transport him and his former Rio, Navy Commander Laura Cole back to 1942. Here they would find themselves Returning to a Country at War where Americas Greatest Generation stood tall. Whether their adventure in time was real or visit to another dimension, a rejuvenated Kinkade finds himself in the arms of women including a future Academy Award Winner. Despite his wish to return home, he feels his calling as a combat pilot and volunteers his services to his country. On a carrier in the Pacific he finds his calling at a time when war was in full battle and surrender was never an option!
